CAPTEOWN. Nov. 1. Tho Council of the South African Football Association lias decided to invite a. British team (o South Africa in 1927. AYith reference to New Zealand’s invitation to send a learn there ill 1926 it was resolved that, negotiations be opened with New Zealand oil the understanding that no expense whatever lie placed on the South African Association and on approved guarantees from tho New Zealand Association.

LONDON, October 31. At international soccer, Scotland defeated Wales by 3 to nil. Tt was played at Cardiff in tine weather and there was an attendance of 25,000. Scotland had more of the play but the Welshmen, despite the handicap of their centre half, Keener, retiring just after the start through a twisted knee, put up a good defence. At half-time there was no score. The Scotch defence in tho second half dealt, capably with spiriled Welsh attacks. Duncan McLean and Chinas scored, the lastnamed just on time.
