AUCKLAND SENTENCES. AUCKLAND, October 30. At. the Supreme Court, Ernest. John Bra.sting, Henry Hansen and William Thomas O’Brien, who gained notoriety for activities in breaking and entering houses, converting motors to their own use and escaping from prison. Each was sentenced to five years hard labour and declared habitual criminals. Brastiiisi and O’Brien expressed their intention of appealing. John Leslie Buckley for breaking entering and theft and who was concerned in the offence with Beasting received four years hard labour. William Lawrence Mcßae for attempting indecent assault on a male rereived five years hard labour. John Petley. for forgery, theft and false pretences, was sentenced to two years hard. Leslie T. Devalin. for breaking, entering and theft, eight months refoinintivo. William Joseph James Mills, false pretences two years reformative. Vincent Joseph McSlone and William Howell, for breaking, entering and theft. the former received twelve months reformative and the latler three years reformative. Frederick Oswald Snkey, breaking, I entering and theft, two years reforma- I five.
