MR T. I'.. V. SKDDON RETURN'S i’rom south. Mi- T. |v V. Seddon, candidate for political honors in Westland, returned from ilie south last evening, after a |,usy four days. Splendid weather prevailed and Mr and Mrs Seddon had a verv pleasant- trip, and a. cordial welcome on all sides. Yesterday Mr Sodden held three nicotines. Alaiiera’s line residence, addressed the assembled residents. Mr A. A. A Too re occupied the chair. The candidate spoke at some length on political subjects, and at the dose of the address. questions were answered. A vote of thanks was oatried on the motion of Air Sheedv. seconded bv Mr Chamberlain. At all tlie southern meetings great- interest was evinced in the question of the extension of the railway south from Ross. Afr Pcddon i-cachod Ruatapu shortly after 8 o'clock and addressed a large meeting immediately after. Air Trippner was chairman, and introduced the candidate, who spoke at some length. \ budget, of questions followed, and the meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks which was carried with very spirited accalmation. The motion was moved hy Air Wilson and seconded by Air Arnerich. MV Sodden returned to Hokitika after the meeting. To-day he visited Blue Spur district and speak- to-night at both Woodstock and Rimu. A meeting will he held at Koiternrigi to-morrow night, and on A fond a v night he speaks at the Three Afile. Arnhttra Road. The campaign will he wound up at Oreymouth on Tuesday when he will hold three meetings during the day time, and speak in the Oreymouth Town Hall at night. Xext Wednesday will he polling day.
