At both places he was received with much enthusiasm by very large crowds, the municipal theatres being unable to hold those wishing to hear him. Mr Coates's addresses followed the same linos ns those elsewhere, consisting of _nn outline of the Government policy and a reply to criticisms of opponents. The meetings were orderly. The interruptions made were not ollcnsive. Both meetings carried votes of thanks and confidence enthusiastically with applause and cheering. PREMIERS’ STRENUOUS TOUR. WATPUKURAU. Oct. 3d. The Premier, en route to Daiinevirke, addressed several hundred people here this morning. He is obviously suffering from voice strain. He was well received.
