SYDNEY, Sept. 24

\t the quarterly session of the Central Executive Council of the Primary Producers’ Cnion. the Presidential address stated the Dairy Export Control Board was now functioning, and there were ample evidences ol the influence of co-operation between the Australian Hoard ami that of New Zealand, on the markets of Britain. The Board |,ad already justified itself in regard to insurance and freight, showing the advantage of collective bargaining. The present oversea shipping hold up was deplorable, and unless it was speedily terminated it- would have a most farreaching effects. Every week brought n.u increasing amount- of butter and cheese for export. The hold up of usual regular shipments must, ol necessity. have an unsettling effect, on the overseas markets.

STATE ENTERPRISE. SYDNEY, flept. 21. The Auditor-General's report states the deficiency for the year ended 30th. June last was £701),450. making the accumulated deficiency £3.430.813. The main cause for the year’s detiiency was the lion-collection ol a portion of the income tax.

The report shows that the State Enterprises, with tile exception of the railways and tramways, made substantial profits. The State brick works closed the year with a profit of £30,149. the greatest in the life of the undertakings. The State metal quarries made a profit of £21.203. The balance sheet of the State Monier pipe and reinforced concrete works showed a surHus of £20.204. The railways and tramways deficit was £69.142.
