-Mil SEDDOX’S CAX'DIDATFRE. tor the Westland seat, returned to Grey mo nth yesterday. .Speaking to a representative of the “Guardian’ yesterday, Air Feddon expressed his satislaction with the result ol his visit to Hokitika and the interest displayed in his candidature here. He found that hi- old friends are rallying as ol yore, while many others have promi-ed their best support. He was pleased also to find that many new comers were being personally interested in the election, anil altogether he is satisfied that the support hereabouts will bo most gratifying. .Mr Feddon purposes commencing his platform campaign next week. Ho will set out along the Otlra railway lino and work- up to Otira. then return down the line, and visit the Grey A alley. Alter speaking at Greymonth Afr Feddon will move southwards, taking places along the line and then to Kuimira. From there ho will cover a good deal ot familiar ground, working to Hokitika, thence to some of the country towns, and afterwards to Tloss and further south as time "ill permit lie expects to address about fifty meetings in the time available, which will probably bo about thirty-three or thirty-four days. This indicates that it will he a strenuous campaign for the candidate.
Air Feddon. however, knows the district and the people wed, and is facing his task with a good <lon] of confidence and much pleasurable anticipation. Airs Feddon hopes to accompany her husband to several parts of the district, and is looking forward lo the trip to Fouth Westland and other interesting localities. The general committee appointed at Hokitika will meet every Wednesday in each week, and at such other timeas may be necessary. General preparations affecting the district organisation are now well in hand.
