.MONDAY. SEPT. 21st. The monthly meeting ot the above Ki, held at the County Chambers at 7.30 p.m. Present: —Messrs T. \V. Urnce (voted to the Chair), \\ .J. Butler. D. J. Evans. \Y. .Jedries, and Dr Teieholmann. Apologies for absence were received from .Messrs T. \V. Dulf and J. J. Mclntosh. The minutes of the previous meeting were continued. COP, DESPONDENCE.
Erum Canterbury Progress League, dating that the Buller-Keofton railway lino would be kept in the lororo'nt of the League’s programme.— Bceiveil. Mr Butler stated he had been iresent at the deputation to the Prime Minister and hail supported the project. Mr Butler's report was received ind approved. from -nine renlying that the time was not opportune lor a reprint ol the booklet " A Holiday in 'Westland.” as the publication was being reorganised and iresli matter was being prepared. Deceived. Dr ■Teichelmanu said there were 7>!!l! copies in stock which were available for circulation. The new edition would he ready in about a month s time. There would he a reproduction of a water colour painting as an extra, also some new pictures and the views relabelled. All the blocks were being overhauled, ami the production would tie .">il ner rent better, lieporl received with thanks.
Erom same, forwarding copy of Idler from Ukarito Harbour League urging Harbour improvement scheme. — Doteivcd. It was stated that twelve months ago the matter had been sopported and a favourable recommendation made to the League.

Erom Auckland League stating the posters for Westland advertising at the shows had been prepared,, and would lie returned to Westland alter being used.— Deceived, DEPOUTS.
The Secretary stated arrangements were being made for lectures in South Westland.
It was stated that Mr Dalgleish was being moved to a location at the Stale harm, (1 rev Valiev. It was decided 1 i ask that Mr Dalglci-h's services he retained lor the district, ami a Stale lane, established here. It was resolved to ask the Westland A. and P. Association and Westland branches of the Karulers’ Onion to co-operate in tee same direct ion. The Chairman referred to the tact l bat ihe district was not being represented at the Dunedin Exhibition. It was felt that something should be don ■ regarding publicity. It was resolved Dr Teiehelmann report at next meeting as to the steps to he taken regarding publicity at the Exhibition. Appreciation was expressed at. the improvement in tram services and the
attention io the requirements ot the millers and slock owners. 1 1 was re lived to ask that the Tuesdm.v and Thursday Midland services ler the i inning summer period be fixed as t'ii|- Saturday, so as t* * give this pnrtjnn of the district improved consideration ill the matter regarding travelling time.
