THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.80 p.m. Tbe Prime .Minister laid on the table a copy of the Public Works Statement, and Estimates and indicated that discussion on them would be taken on Friday. The remainder of the sittings was taken up with tbe passing of the following Bills, which were pul through all stages—■Kepayineut of Public Debt Bill; Electrical Registration Bill: Child Welfare Bill. fn moving the adjournment of the House, the Prime Minister made a feeline; reference to the death of Conoral Melville whom lie described as a Hood and faithful public servant. The House rose at 11.15 p.m.. till 2.8(1 p.m.
