From North Canterbury Board, forwarding particulars of aecoiinl.— Received. From Dr Baird suggesting support to a propo-ed clinical laboratory for the Con.-t at Greymottlh.—Received. The (Tminium did nol favor the proposal owing to the cost. He moved that no action he taken. .Seconded by Air Blank and carried. From Dr Baird stating in regard lo Airs Ifallidav’s nursing home that a qualified nurse was coming to Hokitika and that Airs Haltiday was prepared to accept the offer of the Roard for a subsidy ol f.’l 3s per week. The Chairman moved that authority be given to site for a number nf outstanding accounts. Seconded by Mr Jell'ries and carried. The Secretary reported the Ladds’ Ball Committee had handed in .LI 111 5s net proceeds of ball w ith about 91 yet to come. Keeeiveit. Seconded by Air Blank, supported bv Ale-srs Davidson and Jell'ries. the latter suggesting that some recognition should he made by the Hoard in the wav of entertaining them. The motion was agreed to.
