TELEGRAPHIC INTERRUPTION.
The electrical storm on Friday blew out the line-, in the Hokitika office, and interrupted communication for an hour uf two. till they were repaired. This (Mondavi morning as a result of electrical disturbances during the night, all telegraphic < otumiiuication north and ui.st i I Creyniouth was broken. and at II o'clock there had been no messages ret eiveil from outside. It is understood that the damage on the north line is in the vicinity of Beefton and on the east line in the Otira Tunnel. The line- were cleared shortly before I o'clock and telegraphic matter is-gan to come through.
