In the afternoon he was again in great form and in the first nine holes lie put up a record for the links, these being done in 35, and won the championship in the next bole (the 28th) when lie was I) up and 8 to play. Had lie played out the full IS holes he would have had a great opportunity of heating bogey for the round (78). Park though placing a good game, stilleicti in comparison with the extra fine play of hia opponent. In the Ladies’ Championship played in the afternoon, Aliss Alonre and Airs Sime (Westport) lighting out the filial. .Miss Moore soon established a good lead and ran out a winner at the 1211holc where she was 7 up and 6 to play. The runaway victories in the two championship* to some extent spoilt the interest in the finals, though the two winners especially gave very (ill' displays. Tile Mixed Foursome was won h; Miss Kettle and Neville. Final Ladies’ Championship:—Mi*' Moore (Hokitika) beat Airs S'lee -'Westport) 7 up and li on the 12th bole. Final .Men’s Championship.—Sinn (AYestport) beat. Park (AYt'slporl) !) ii| and 8 nil Ibe 2*tli hole. The tnurnanieiii was wound no las' evening with a very *ucce"lul ball it the Soldiers' Hall.
