The Empire Press Union Delegation left for Sydney hv the Ulimaroa at noon accompanied by Sir Frederick Leys. Mr Dinwiddie and three or four New Zealand delegates. The weather was true to its treatment of the visitors through most of the trip and the boat pulled out in heavy rain. ANOTHER WIRELESS RECORD. GISBORNE. August 28. O'Meara, the Gisborne wireless operator, created 1 another record last night in communicating with the Mac-Mil-lan Arctic expedition ship Peary at Etah. Greenland. 12 degress from the North Pole. O’Meara also took from the ship a message for the GovernorGeneral of New Zealand and this was telegraphed to its destination this morning. The Peary also announced that it intended to broadcast a programme of Eskimo folk songs and music on a wave length of 36 metres from Etah. Greenland. This concert will he sent out between the hours of 5 and 6 a.in. on August 30th, 75th meridian of time, which corresponds with ten p.m. August 31st New Zealand time.
