The " Observer,” in an editorial says the most gratifying position in the season’s cricket- is that the younger players emerge to more prominent positions in the game. We ought to have a more effective means of verifying the coming men’s powers, Warner’s suggested North v. South match would, in part, make good the indifference to preparation and organisation lor tests by the responsible authorities, showing that Marylebone’s inertia in bringing its status into the critical question. It seems inviting the time when it will have to be transformed into a more constitutional kind of monarchy.
