WEDDING BELLS

STEVENS- FOWLER. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, oil Aug. 19th. Rev. .1. Perkins being tiie officiating clergyman. The contracting parties were Eileen, third daughter of Mr and Mrs ,J. L. Fowler, of Hokitika, and Albert, son of Mrs Stevens, late of Hokitika. The bride entered the Church on the arm of her father. She wore a dainty frock of ivory satin maroeain, trimmed with radium hue and pearls. Her bridal veil was of ivory tulle, held in position by a chaplet of orange blossoms, and she carried a very pretty shower bouquet of pink and white flowers and maiden hair fern. Miss Laurine Fowler attended 100- sister as bridesmaid. Site wore a pretty frock of lemon shot silk, relieved with mauve satin ribbon ipul a mauve and silver bat. her bouquet of white .'111(1 lemon roses, and maiden hair fern. being tied with lemon ribbon. Mr W. Stevens, of Feilding. (brother ol the bridegroom) acted as best man. After the ceremony a quiet reception was held at tlie residence of the bride’s parents, and was atteiidisl by relations and a few old friends. Later the happy couple left for Feilding on their honeymoon. the bride’s travelling costume being a smart coat frock of embossed fawn maroeain with a. fawn velour coat with coney collar ami cuffs and hat to match.
