HOKITIKA HARBOR BOARD
TUESDAY, AUGUST 4th. The Board met at 4.J0 p.in. Present —Atcssrs (5. A. Wood (Chairman). Richards. Bruce and Nightingale. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. From Auditor-General acknowledging receipt of copy of balance sheet for years 192:5 and 1921.—Received. From Alarine Department, notifying notice required for Washing-up Bill gazetting a uniform system of marking wrecks: acknowledging balance sheets. —Received. From A'nliiation Department. forwarding valuation of several sections. —Received. From Alarine Department notifying regulation requiring payment.--Receiv-ed. After a discussion in which the Secretary pointed out that in the last 2 years £972 15s 3d had been spent in repairs alone while the whole of the revenue from ALii'ine services for the same period was only £l2B 19s 2d. Mr Bruce moved that the Chairman he empowered to get the necessary repairs to the wharf done. Mr Richards seconded and the motion was carried on the understanding that the cost was not to exceed £3O.
The Chairman moved that the special annually recurring rate be struck. Seconded by Air Bruce and carried. The Board then rose.
