[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] FINISHED WITH DEMPSEY. (Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, August I. The New York State Rosing Association announces it is through with Dempsey and will ignore him in future, It expresses the hope that organized boxing bodies in the other States will co-operate in the ostracism. The chairman says:—“Dempsey is not licensed in this State, so we cannot make him tight. Accordingly, we shall ignore him in future. However, we have no authority to vacate tho heavy-weight title nor to name another champion.” Banishment followed Dempsey s failure to appear personally as promised, to make a definite statement as to his intentions.
