“Sir Francis Belt Commissioner of Forestry for New Zealand attended a private screening of the- Paramount Metro feature “Hearts Aflame” at the Kings Theatre, AA'ellington, recently. This production is an adaption of the famous forestry story “Timber” by Harold Titus, and is devoted to the cause of forest conservation a subject of vital interest to New Zealanders at the present time. It- will no doubt prove a valuable document for those interested in forest conservation in this country. Others present at the screening were -Captain At. Ellis, Director of Forestry; Messrs Phillips Turner, Secretary of the Forestry League; E. C. Jack, .Secretary of the Forestry League, A. I-eigli Hunt, Director of the Dominion Farmers Institute, Malcolm Fraeser, Government- Statistician. Twenty acres of burning pine ore, shown consumed by roaring, hissing (lames, through which a locomotive dashes driven by Anna Q. Nilsson. Trees crash on every side, the flames lick at the window of the cab a.s slto clings to the throttle and pilots the cab through a quarter of it mile of .soothing, roaring tire. Foxes and wolves, panic-stricken by tile thunder of the falling trees, and the flames which leap up at them with their own cunning. imsh blindly out of the forest and two tiny bears slide whimperingly down the trunk of a tree, just- as it .starts to topple. A lake, mirrored in the depths of the forest like a diamond in tt ruby setting, offers a refuge to a frightened doe. “Hearts Aflame,” a Metro picture, was produced for Louis B. Mayor. It is based on the novel “Timber,” by Harold Titus.

A two reel Alack Sennett Comedy, a gazette and comedy will conclude finis superb programme. Come and hear the famous song “Zillalt” sung bv the audience and played by our Supreme Orchestra.
