From Referees Association _ recommending A. Sutherland as referee m the Re.sx-Kumara match in place of F. MR, bell who is ill.—Received and approved. From E. Ford, applying lor translor from I lariliat i to Ross.- Received : consideration deterred. The Sub-Union deputation that had confer red with the Reserves Committee of tlio Council, reported a very satisfactory arrangement had been come to and matters should now work smoothly.—Received and adopted. The Sub-Committee that had waited on the West Coast Rugby Union He previous Tuesday reported that a ’C’.v satisfactory discussion had taken place and an agreement was reached that should prove of advantage to the peeress of the game.— Received end votes of thanks passed to the Members of both deputations.
It- was resolved to invite Ashburton Sub-Union to send a team to Hokitika if they went on tour this year. It. was resolved to ask lor full particulars of the financial arrangements of the representative fixture at Hokitika. H- was resolved that the. junior representatives play a match as a curia in raiser at Hokitika and again to the llawkes Bay match at Greyinoulh. Accounts scheduled were passed for payment and the meeting concluded.

The Aloascar Cup changed bauds when To Ante College, llawkes Bay. defeated New Plymouth Roys’ High School by 3 points to nil. in a gruelling match, played in the rain on a sodden ground. Since gaining the cup from Auckland Grammar School in 1923 New Plymouth had successltilly defended it mi live occasions, on two „f which Te Ante were unsuecess!til challengers. Te Ante averaged well over a stone heavier than New Plymouth. hut the gane was very even, and the football good under the condiiions. Five minutes brloiv tone f . T e Ante were vei l much the heavier side. They led by six to throe in the first spell, and finally they won by twelve to eight, four tries to a converted try and a penalty goal. . . Despite the unfavourable conditions, the game was a splendid exhibition, with thrilling movements on both sides. The Mon scar Cup was not involved, hut it is umlerstoo.l the local Technical College is to meet To Auto shortly M Napier, in the next challenge match for that trophy.
