Dr. 11. lA. Cooper, of Elthani. lie had been I in failing health for some time, but I his final illness was short. He will be buried at Hamilton ~ii Thursday alTorI noon. [The deceased was born in London in 18.70 and arrived at Auckland with his parents by the .ship Gertrude on February 7th.. 1803. He was a member of the Auckland Board of Education (1883-1901), and also governor of Auckland College and Grammar School, and was deputy-inspector of lunatic asylums nSSS-1901). He was appointed a Judge of tbe Supremo Court on February 14th. 1901. was president of the Court of Arbitration till September, 1903. and retired in 1921.]
