| MASTER PICTURES. | “THE FAAIOUS AIRS FAIR.” - 1 FRIDAY. The star picture at the O] era House on Friday night is “The Famous Airs Fair’’. A mistake in her schedule of lectures gave Airs Fair a week’s layoil'. Thankful fur the o; pertuiiity, she wired her husband Jeffrey what she was coming home. AYhen she arrived, there was no one t-j meet her at the station. Puzzled, she made her way to the apartments. On a table was the unopened telegram. Just then the ’phone rang. A woman’s voice, smooth and unfamiliar inquired frr Jeff. “Just tell him f called. He will understand.'’ she said meaningly. Flirting again with fate in lii.s roadster. Air Landis

in another episode of the picture, skids bis oir ill a wet pavement at a forty-mile gait, making a sharp hairpin torn in bis pursuit of the despicable Dudley Gillette. Ilis overtaking the villain precipitates a light that for bitterness and realism is rivaleid only by the famous bat,tie in “The Sj>oilers.’* h'urumu.tely. the production schedule allowed both players a week’s rest after the affair. I"ranees .Marion adapted “The Famous Airs Fair’’ to the screen. In the oast- are ATyrtle Stedman, Huiitly Gordon. Alarguerite tie la Alotte. Cullen Landis. AYard Crane. Carmel Afyers and Helen Ferguson. Roaring along at breakneck speed on the stage highway that parallels the railroad trucks in Saint Barbara County, dodging cars along the rente, making sharp turns on mountain roads, sealing steep grades, Air Landis gave the cameraman something to talk about. Here is a man known to all and particularly well known to Australians. He was out here some time leu k and since and since then lias made Ilis name as one of the foremost men in the industry. He is Fred Niblo. Amongst Ilis mo-l recent successes are "The Three .Musketeers’’ and “Blood and Sand.’’ “The Famous Airs Fair’’ is handled with consummate skill and i< a worthy successor to those mighty features. The sir ports include a comedy, gazette, travelogue and orchestra.
