On Tuesday evening MeL-cau's pielure will screen the big special “Love of Women.” starring Helen Chadwick and .Montagu Love, ft is a charmingly human story beautifully screened and convincingly enacted, and deals with the marital difficulties of Cynthia and Ernest Herrick. Although very much in love with each other, the voting couple, through the intercourse of outsiders, land in the divorce court. In spite of the incriminating evidence against Ernest the judge feels that tho pair really care for each other, and that perhaps time may bring about a reconciliation, so instead ol granting an absolute decree ol divorce, he gives an interlocutory one. Ihe day betore the signing of the final papers the Herrick’s little hoy is severely injured. At the suggestion of the doctor Cynthia sends for the boy’s lather and the watch throughout the by te bedside of their child makes the parents realise that death alone should part them. The next morning they announce to the judge that they don t want a divorce and sally lort:h on a second honeymoon. Helene Chadwick portrays Cynthia Herrick witii a restrain and delicacy which add much to the reality of the play. Lawford Davidson, who plays opposite her, also gives a finished and sympathetic portrayal of the, husband who has been led astray. .Montagu Love and .Maurice Costello livo up to their reputations as capable actors and no one could he more seductively vaiiipish than Alary Thurman. Credit for flic work should he given also to .Marie iShotwell and little Frankie Evans.

TUESDAY.—“IN SEARCH OF A THRILL.” .Master Pictures present lor Tuesday Viola Dana in the lnelodroma comedy, ■■ln Search of a Thrill ” an exciting romance laid in Paris, and concerns the adventures of an American girl whose thirst for thrills is so unquenchable that she gets into all sorts of perilous scrapes. The action mostly shows her efforts til get out of them, and is as laugh provoking as it is thrilling. In the supporting cast appear A\ arner Ihixter. .Mabel Van Buren, Rosemary Theby. and Templar Saxe. For probably the lirst time in lilnidoin a cafe designed on futurist lines—of the type that is now making its appearance on the Parisian boulevard —was built as one of the house sets for A'iola Dana’s latest- .Metro picture " In Search ol a Thrill.” The cafe itself covered a large portion of one of the huge stages. 'I ho orchestra was placed upon a plant covered and slightly above the level <d the platform, was a plain canvas wall on which lights played from behind. At intervals clowns, dancing girls, models ami o'.hers appeared in various jxises behind 11n* canvas, forming sometimes grotesque hut also striking silhouettes. The walls z>l flic cafe were composed of large panel- with strays and other figure- depicted in the modern futurist si \ !e. “In Search of a- thrill was ailaploc! from a story by Kale .lordan.
