Mr T. E. Y. Sodden went south yesterday, and purposes making an extended trip through the southern district. Air Seddon motored to AYailio Gorge and from there will proceed by horseback to the far south, visiting all the settlements down to the Okuru. Ah' Seddon’s visit is in connection with his candidature for AYcstland at the next general election. For some time past he has been visiting outlying centres, and meeting the settlors. He has visited several places in the North already, and will do the far south thoroughly while in that region.
Air O’Brien ALP., who visited the Rounds and the far south of AYcstland on the resent trip of the Tutanekai, had an excellent trip. Air O'Brien says he saw scenery of such beauty and majestic grandeur that lie could not do justice to it by any verbal or written description. So impressed was the Aromber for AYcstland with what be saw that lie intends to make the trip over again, and take more time over it.
Householders will be glad to learn that tlie water supply trouble was overcome yesterday afternoon, when the auxiliary supply at Kanieri Forks was turned into the main pipe lino. The augmented flow delivered about 170 gallons per minute into tlie reservoir, the water in reserve rising rapidly. The Borough staff worked' weljl to secure so good a result. Tlie pipe line will be secured further to-day. and after the holidays the main line to Lake Kanieri. above tlie Forks will b? overhauled.
