ANNUAL MEETING. The outgoing committee of the AVest land Sub-l nion held its final meeting in Keller’s Rooms last evening at 7.3 i o’clock, when there were present: -Messrs K. .McGregor (President), /» Cutbush, PL Al. Coulson, J, Stafford E. W. Heennn (Sec.). J. J. Breeze. J. Ilowat and D. R. lumen. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and continued. REPORi.

aiice sheet covering the past year's expenditure and it is necessary to also present you this report, prom the balance sheet you will notice that this sub-union Jins passed through a very successful season the amount of the gate receipts being the second largest we have yet had the pleasure of receiv-
ing. This union started off the season carrying a burden of debt to the amount of £33 and during the season
this amount was wiped off so that this really represents a. credit balance Joi tile season 1921 just completed. There was a falling off in the number of representative matches played, as for the season this union contested two senior, and two junior games. The
senior representatives faded to hold the Dittman Shield, hut the junior representatives proved the champions in their grade. lie balance .sheet, the receipts arc i’airiv easy to understand, hut it is necessary to enlighten you on the numerous items under the expenditure. Motor expenses amount to a large figure on account of all these
being under the one heading, the amount of £29 being made up as follows
including charabanc hire for the Grey trip with the senior representatives, travelling referees expenses, and bringing players to Hokitika when preparing lor rep games; also three ambuliimc tails. 'l’he item of £ls was paid to tlie borough, this being of the gate receipts. The other items are clear and need no explanation. The union has assets valued at: Scnool football was fostered during the year, the local school competing in the third grade competition and acquitted themselves very well. They also played numerous matches nit other schools including Westport, Reefton and Greymoiilh. The local school require the services of an experienced footballer to take an active interest in school football, and impart the necessary knowledge of the finer points of the Rugby game.

unfortunately the district lacks efficient country referees. This matter will have to receive the referees’ association's utmost consideration. The report and balance sheet were adopted. .MEETING OF DELEGATES. The delegates met at 8 p.m. to ideet (.[timers for the 1925. season. the Score t:iiy taking the chair. The delegatee, present were as fallows:—Messrs Adam (Ross), F. -McGregor (Kum.ira), J. Stafford (Arahural, A. Lawn and J. Burns (Kiwi). ,|. Breeze and 11. At. Coidsou (Excelsiors), I). If. Dowell and B. Moynilmn (Kokatnlii). J. Ilowat (Kanicii). S. Moore (I lariliaid). and A. Cutbush (Referees Association). Air AlcGrogor moved a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring members, which wts seconded by Mr bawn and carried. The following teams were nominated for the various com] etiimus: Senior: -Kokatnlii, Extolsiurs and K i w i. Junior--Kokatnlii, Excelsiors. Kiwi. Arnhurn, Ross, liariiiari. Kauicri, and Kunia in. Third Grade: Excelsiors, Ar. dim a, and Kiwi. OFFK'Eiwi. The new offiiers who were appointed are: S’-erel ar\ E. W. Ifeenan: President p. AlrGrogor; \Ace-Presi-dent. J. Stiilfoid ; Treasurer— I). K. Dowell. A motion by Air Cutbiish that all delegates present form the Executive, was carried after several amendments had been moved and defeated. Postponement Committee: D. R. Dowell, 11. Al. Coidson. and A. H. bawn.

It was resolved that a deputation consisting of Messrs Coulson. 1 level!. Burns, and the captains ol the senior teams and officers, meet the Greymouth deputation at Keller’s Rooms at 7.50 o'clock on Saturday evening, re competition for senior teams', A hearty vote of thanks and appreciation was accorded to Alessrs A arra.ll, Benjamin and Michel and also to Mr W. Keller for use of meeting room.

It was resolved to procure a cup and present it to the winners of last xeai, the Kokatahi Club.
The Ladies Hockey Club wrote offering a. silver cun for competition, ivhiili was act opted, the Hockey Club ti he thanked.
The application of J. Devaney for reinstatement was recommended. \pplication by Harihari ( ltd, for reclrssi.fi: ation of > ere nil players was held liver till next meeting.
The request of the Kanieri Club to play all matches in Hokitika was agreed to.
