FOOTBALL.

KIWI FUDTBAIjL club, ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above Club took place in Mclntosh’s Club Rooms last evening. There was an excellent attendance of members present. Air J. J. Mclntosh presided.

The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed, and the balance sheet as read was adopted. The election of officers then took place and resulted as inflows:

Tooliey, AleOavoek, Cagney. T. Gillooly, ]’. Kidd. J. Gilford. General Committee:—Messrs Irving. Raine, Diincrai't, Shannon, and Tomlinson.

Social Commit-tot—Messrs Tomlinson Shannon, Pane. Gaylcir, and E. Kearns Selection Committee —Messrs Raine Duneraft. Devaney.

Club Captain : —Mr E. Irving. Secretary anil Treasurer —0. Walker. New members were elected as follows: —Messrs (Javier, AY. Steel, J. Bell, J. O’Connor (2). Teller. Griffiths, Borgin, Harrington. J. Burns, A. Lawn Pointer, Smith. J. Coulson, Campbell, null Cunningham. Delegates: —-Messrs A. Lawn ami J. Burns. Arrangements were made for the Social Committee to recommence the Saturday night dances on the following Saturday night, all members to assist. Arrangements were made for the match with Stars, (Greymouth) to take place on Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. GREYMOUTH, April 2. .Tack Steel, the All Black, railway dork, lias received notice of his transfer from Grevmouth to Springfield, and the Mayor, Mr Parfitt, has telegraphed the District Traffic Manager to assist Greymouth to retain Steel here. Last night, in reply to the telegram sent by him to Mr Chapman, Traffic Manfger at Christchurch, the Mayor, Mr VT. H. Parfitt, received from Mr Chapman, a telegram stating that the matter of Mr Steel’s transfer is now
