The West Const Golf Tournament contested at Omolo Links, Greymouth, was marred by wretched weather : our
(‘lub was poorly represented numerically. The only win recorded by a Hokitika player was that of Air ,1. A. Chesney in a four ball match. This years tournament, is set for the Alahinapua Links aiid no doubt the incoming committee will have a busy time preparing fur the event.
The course was well grazed during the season and the groundsman (Air Kiakowsky) carried out his duties in a very saFisfactury manner, and il is sellevident that the policy of appointing a permanent green-keeper has greatly benefited to Club’s property.
The Club House is in urgent need of repairs, and these with extensions to meet the demand for locker space, etc., should he taken in hand at. an early date.
