THE AMERICAN FLEET
PRESENT PLAN FOR VISIT. ! WELLINGTON, March. 30. According to present arrangements for the visit to New Zealand waters next August of the American licet, the j warships will be divided into two sections, one of which will proceed to p Melbourne and Wellington and the o other to .Sydney and Auckland. 1 The Wellington section will be in these waters from about August Bth. y to 22nd, and will consist of a cruiser; | the fleet flagship, with the Comman- , der-in-Cliief; a division of three battle- , ships; a division of four light cruisers; t and two squadrons of destroyers—2s v to 30 in number-—with a light cruiser as flagship. . j The Auckland section will consist of t a battleship of the iCoittinnndcr-iii- ( Chief of the battle fleet, and two did- j sions of three battleships each. ] These arrangements, of course, ar<- < subejet to alteration, and the move- i incuts of the vessels are liable to 1-' J changed in come respects.
