CHRISTCHURCH, March 30.

New cases of infantile paralysis continue to occur in the city aie.i. but there are grounds for the hope that the epidemic is slowly, but surejv, nearing the end ul its course. Several of the cases reported during the past week stated in a mild form, and the parents were unaware that anything was wrong until some time after tin* patients were first affected. The number of actual new eases shows a steady decline, and it is hoped the cold snap at the week-end may have a beneficial effect in bringing the epidemic nearer its close.
