Stahl has made his new picture, “ Why .Men Leave Home,” a production of strong feminine appeal. It was the hi'liel' of many that the original play of Henry Hopwood held married life up to ridicule. To suit public opinion ■Stahl has tempered the story to a clever satire, in which the husband and wife are alternately victorious or crestfallen through the development of the theme. " Why Men Leave Home,” which is a First National picture" presented by Louis 11. Mayer, will he seen at the Princess Theatre on Monday. IL L interpreted by an all-star cast, which inculdes: Lewis Stone, Helene Chadwick, William V. Along, Mary Carr, Alma Bennett and Iledda Hopper. The rise of Alary Carr in motion pictures was nothing short of meteoric.

Unknown to anybody save casting directors, from whim she sought work. Alary Carr jumped in a single picture to the pinnacle of picture artistry. With th.e first .showing of ‘‘Over the Hill” Alary Carr became the beloved mother of the screen. And to-day she is sought after by every producer who has a mother role to he filled, in John Al. Stahl’s “Why .Men Leave Home” to be shown at the Princess Theatre on .Monday next, Alary Carr has the rule of (irand-ma ami her interpretation of it rivals her work in “ Over the Hill.” Two reel comedy, topicals, orchestra, usual prices. Coming Wed r nesday “ The Tiger Hose.” Coming Thursday, Wesley Harry in “I he Country Kid.”
