POUND DAY-TO-DAY

To-day is Pound Day to aid the Returned Soldiers’ Association to augment the building fund wherewith to add additional rooms to the Soldiers Hall. A committee of ladies has the matter m hand, and there is a varied supply of goods on sale. The premises of Mr Preston in Revell Street, opposite the Dominion Hotel have been placed at the disposal of the R.S.A. and good business should result. The shop will he, open till 9 o’clock this evening. There will he a dance at the Soldiers’ Hall to-niglit to wind up the day’s doings.
