present, and pleaded not guilty. Constable Best gave evidence that he had told Alan/.oni that Gibbons was under a .re, and then on the day of the offence he found Gibbons again on the premises.. Gibbons said be was 13 years of ago in the presence of AlanV.pni. Witness emphasised that Gibbons was not of age, and stated lie would prosecute him. James Alanzoni said he had been warned by the constable, but Gibbons had told him he was over 18 years of age, and he took bis word. T>eter Stephens gave supporting evidence. A birth certificate was put in showing Gibbons was under the age. His Worship said the case had been proved. The boy had made his ease worse by lying as to his age. Both would ho convicted, and fined 29s and costs Ts each. RAILWAY BYE-LAWS.
