POUND DAY SATURDAY
On Saturday the Ladies’ Committee of the R.S.A. will he conducting a Pound l)av as a means to raise funds for enlargement of the Soldiers’ Hall by the addition of - club rooms to be used in connection also with social functions. The building is now in hand, and the additions will add greatly to the utility of the Hall, which lias proved quite ail asset to the town. Pound Day will he built upon gifts of goods which the ladies will dispose of and convert into £.S-D.. A shop lias been 1 laced at the disposal of t 1 committee, and the effort, while novel, should he very successful in raising money. Ladies co-operating with gifts may advise Mesdames Benjamin or Stuart. Gifts of all kinds will ho welcome, and will lie sure to find ready pu rc-1 labors. The building programme at present in hand is expected to run into £350.
