According to trustworthy information from Berlin it is learned that Germany is prepared to seek admission to the League of Nations without conditions or reservations.
MR CHAMBERLAIN’S REPORT LONDON, March 21.
The Cabinet has received Mr Austen Chamberlain’s report on the results «. his Geneva and Paris conversations.
The ‘Daily Telegraph’s” diplomatic con espondenti says: ‘‘Mr Cliambeilain has likened the security position to n jigsaw puzzle, of which the pieces were lying chaotically, some requiring trimming, in order to lit them in. It may he necessary for some to he rejected and others to be inserted instead. Moreover, it is understood that it was stated, with surprise, that proposals may be forthcoming from Washington, at. any moment, such as would modify an I speed the order of procedure. It is admitted M. Rene’s proposal for dividing Europe into two groups of nations Western and Eastern, eaeh bound by a security 1 act, might help to a solution. One fact is clear, however, and it is that the European diplomatic outlook is still fluid, and will require months to crystallise

The League of Nations Union passed a resolution urging the Government to summon forthwith a special committee representing all sound opinion in Britain and the Dominion* to examine the Protocol and any other proposals aiming at arbitration security and disarmment.
