FATALITY AT ROSS

GEORGE (SUTHERLAND KILLED.

A fatal accident occurred yesterday afternoon about o’clock at the. Totara. sawmill, near Ross, whereby George Sutherland, a well known farmer of the district, lost his life, it appears that Sutherland was engaged in unloading logs off it, trolly at the mill when something slipped and deceased was thrown over* the log which rolled over him, (•rushing his chest and face, death being instantaneous. The deceased was a well known resident of Ross district, was I!) years of age and unmarried, tie was an old member of the Ross Cricket and Football Clubs, and better known under the nickname of “Cab|n,,o ” He leaves a brother (Alexander a well-known farmer of Hanltari), ami two married sisters, one residing at Gieymouth.
