On Saturday the West Coast mixed doubles championship final was decided at Beet ion. rain marring the play somewhat. Mr W. P. McCarthy and Mrs !\ J. McCarthy (Greymout h) won the contest, defeating Mr ( . Schaddick and Mrs Baillie (Westport) b—B. G—2o.

A summoned meeting of the Druid’s Lodge. Westland, No 80, will he held on Thursday next at 7.30 p.m. .Messrs .McMahon and Lee notify an increased entry for their stock sale at Totara Flat on Thursday next at noon. The entry comprises 75 forward bullocks, 2b mixed cattle, 300 wethers and 7b!) breeding ewes.
