ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE
M. Houston and Co., report:—The usual fortnightly sale took place at the above yards yesterday, our entry comprising 12 head of tat cattle, *l2 stole bullocks. 38 fat sheep and lambs and 200 breeding ewes. The usual buyers were in attendance and competition was •good for fat stock, hut stoic cattle were somewhat neglected. The yarding of fat cattle consisted mostly of light to medium quality steers and heifers with the usual entry of aged cows, (food ox and heifer beef realised from 30s to 32s 6d, medium 27s to 30s, and inferior and cow beef from 20s to 27s per hundred. There was only a small entry of fat sheep which sold well at recent rates. The following sales were effected :
On account of Jas Donovan 2 heifers at £8 15s, 2 at £7 17. s Gd. 2 at £0 17s Gd, 1 sucker at £-1, 1 at £4 ss, 3 bullocks at £8 17s Gd, 2 at £0 ss, 1 at £7 2s Gd, 2 heifers at £G 15s, 1 heifer and 1 tow at £G ss, 2 heifers at £5 7s Gd, 1 at £8 7s Gd, 1 at £lO, 1 at £7 7s Gd, 1 at £8 12s Gd, 1 at £7 10s; on account of Miss Mary Donovan 1 heifer at £8 ss; on account of Jas Friend 1 steer at £7 os; on account of Airs Wilson 1 cow at £fi 17s Gd, I at £6 7s Gd, 1 steer at* £6 10s, 3 heifers at £4 1"2.s Gd.; on account of John Bradley 1 bullock at £lO, 1 steer at £O, 1 cow at £6 10s, <) aged c-ows at 30«, 1 at ‘2os; on account of IC. J. Hogan 3 venters at £2* on account of Tlios. Harris 10 fat sheep at 36s 9d, 9 shorn lambs at 94s 9d 19 f.m, breeding ewes at 34s Gd; w account of T. Staines 70 breeding ewes at 33s Gd, 1 ram at £4, 1 at £5 ss. J 7 store bullocks £9 7s 6d, 15 at £6.
