Foul play is suspected. Concerning the death of Bent, the •police are seriously handicapped in the investigations owing to lack ut information regarding the movements of deceased on the previous night. Examination of the body showed the bullet, from a small calibre rifle, in the forehead, above the left eye. When found Bent was fully dressed. Two blood stained handkerchiefs were found nearby. There was blood on the coat from the lapel downwards, suggesting that lie received the wound while standing. Patches ol blood were found on the roadway some distance from where Bent was lying. He did not regain consciousness before he died. CONFERKXCE RESOLUTIONS. {Received this day at 8.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Alarch 10.
