An accident happened at Mnnanui sawmill on Wednesday morning whereby Walter H. Batchelor had a miraculous escape. He was engaged at his work as engine driver at the mill, and when oiling up lie was caught in the shafting. He was whirled round three times and managed to catch the floor and hang on. All his clothes were torn off, and that released him. the skin being torn off -is right leg from the ankle to the thigh and also off the hack and chest. The saw (lector, Air L.
