Ihe death took place this morning at Athol, .Southland of Mr William McKenzie Harcourt, a former well-known settler of the Aralmra Valley. The’ deceased, who was a native of Glasgow was hoi n in Kvit) and was therefore iyears of age. For many years lie lived at Humphreys carrying on mining and farming, later lie tame to H akitika where he lived for some tun and a year or two ago he removed to Christchurch and later to Southland where he resided with his brother. Deceased leaves a grown up family including, a daughter, Airs Amy Meharry of Wellington, and sons, James at Auckland. Blake at Christchurch. George at Humphreys and Richard at Koiterai’igi.
