The House of Commons agreed to a financial resolution increasing the amount of leans under the Trade Facilities Act, for which Government guarantees may lie given, from (55 to 70 millions sterling. Mr Hilton Young suggested the appointment of a sub-committee, endowed with initiative to work in conjunction with the Colonial Office, and to deal with dominions’ development schemes. In this connection, some disappointment prevailed. Mr Guinness pointed out the Colonial Office had a representative on the Dominions’ Committtee.
