The West Coast A. and P. Show which had to be postponed from the ISth and lfitli. February, is to he held oil March Ith and nth. The (oinn'.ittee decided to fix the latter dates, though it means that ihiluren under Ki years of age cannot lie admitted, ami the children’s sports will have to he left out. As there is still a doubt as to how long the restrictions consequent on the infantile paralysis regulations will remain in lorce, the ( ommittee felt it would lie unwise to wait longer owing to the colder weather and shorter davs setting in. Entries received arc good, and the Show will he a splendid one. It now. remains for all to patronise it who can. There are good entries for the chopping event, and the stock sections will contain some of the pick of the South Island animals. The trade exhibits as well as a well varied sports programme "ill give added interest to the Show. Spec ial trains "ill he run each day, on tile second (People’s Day) there will be excursion rates. £0(10 is being given in prizes.
