Cabinet has decided that, in view of the continuance of the inlantile paralysis epidemic, the schools throughout New Zealand shall not reopen till .Monday. .March 9th, at the earliest. A further announcement oil the subject will he made later, in ease the day for the re-opening is again postponed. it is the desire of the Health Department io give all concerned at least one week’s notice of the re-opening • 1 the schools. A 1 LISTING’S PROTEST. HASTINGS, February 24. A press message attributing a case of infantile paralysis at Hastings in the general Dominion list is incorrect. Hastings has been always clear of the disease.
