A SOUTHLAND CASE. INVERCARGILL, February 18. A case of infantile paralysis, that of a two-year old child, has been definitely diagnosed at Riverton. The Health Department state that it is a contact case, and they have taken the usual precautions. A “SUSPECT” FROM RUNANGA. GREYMOUTH, Fob. 19. A nils pc’ toil ease of infantile paralysis. the second case to come from Rmuinga, has boon admitted to tlie Grey River Hospital. The patient is a child of twelve months. Inquiries made last night elicited tho information that the ease is progressing satisfactorily, although it will ho a day or two yet before the diagnosis will reveal the true nature of the ease.

Court this morning three defendants were lined £2 and costs each for taking children under 19 to a racecourse last week in contravention to the Health Department regulations.
