SCARLET FEVER SERUM.
VIENNA, February 18. Doctor Engelmann, of the Childers’ Hospital, reports splendid results of a serum against scarlet fever, lortvflve complete cures were effected, some children even in the delirium stage being cured bv one injection. EASTERN ALLIANCE DENIED. PEKIN, February 17. The Foreign Office emphatically denies the Berlin "Lokal Anzeiger’s” report of a Russo-Japanese-Chinese Treaty, as cabled yesterday. CROYDON ATR SMASH VERDICT. LONDON. February 18. At the inquest on the Croydon air smash a verdict was returned of death by misadventure.
