AN APPRECIATION.
(To the Editor). Sir.—l was fortunate enough to be present at the very excellent carnival at the swimming baths last Wednesday night, and I feel sure the general public of Hokitika fully appreciates- the work done by the swimming Club's officers. Whilst having a chat with the genial secretary ot the Club, he informed me that so far he had received a dozen oilers of trophies for the carnival to be held in a fortnight’s lime. I would like to suggest that as a compliment to the Club the citizens oi Hokitika provide all the rophies for the various races. I his would enable the Club to make practically a clear profit, the money lor which could be devoted tbe oxt ia reeting accommodation ,iml dressing .shod;, at the belie. I herewith enclose a guinea towards a medal for the Schoolboys’ Championship. A'ours etc., AY ELL-AY IS HER. Hokitika, dan. 30th. 1925.
