BOWLING.
HOKITIKA A'. GREY. A four-rink team from the Hokitika Bowling Club journeyed to Qreyinoiltli on Saturd-y and suffered defeat in a game for the Ronalds Badges, by 2-1 points, only one rink proving successful. The green was very fast and true and a capital game resulted. The team were welcomed by the Persident of the Grey Club (Mr Steer) and the usual congratulatory speeches were made at the conclusion by Alessrs Steer and Blank (President of Hokitika Club), when the Badges were handed over to Air Blackwood’s rink. Cheers for the two teams, the Badge winners and the ladies (who provided a very dainty afternoon teat concluded the proceedings just after 6 o’clock.
