WOXTHAGGI AITXER.S STRIKE. AIELBOt RXK, January 10. About fifteen hundred men were idled by a dispute at AYonthaggi coal mine over wages. It is considered probable that the strike trill he extended. The New South AYales Branch of the British .Medic a I Association has lodged a petition of bankruptcy for the compulsory sequestration of the estate of Dr. G. S. Thompson, with interest thereon, totalling C2GGS : also L'J22 for; costs iii connection with a further judgment obtained in England as the result of Thompson’s appeal against the first judgment. The petition is the outcome of a controversy between the Association and Thompson over the ease of Airs Farr (New Zealand). |
