Press reports regarding the inclusion in the Dawes plan of the American war claims elicited a statement from the Minister in France, that the Eranco-Ameriean conversations on 2-sth October recognised tlio principle of such claims, hut no figure was mentioned. The whole question will ho submited to the inter-Alliod Conference of Finance Ministers. Anyhow, there was no question of the American claim being treated more expeditiously than the French.
