Following an argument in tbe vestibule of the Assembly regarding a Bill which Air Butterfield the ('iimmissirnier of Lands is sponsoring. Air Butterfield struck Air Mosley, the oldest member of the House, a blow in tbe face, blackening bis eye. The incident was discussed in tbe Assembly and Air Butterfield in apologising .states that serious tvtleetions were east upon him when members began to talk of penalties, ’flic Speaker, who was tbe only witness to the assault said that lie would take the matter entirely into bis own bands and announce bis decision later.
