McLEAN’S PIGTUREB. -THE AIAN BETWEEN” TO-NIGHT. This evening McLean's present “The Alan Between,” a Finis Fox production released by Associated Exhibitors. M’e tire advised that Alt' l'ox was the whole show in the making ol the picture. He is said to have written it, east the parts, directed the shooting of scenes, cut and titled the finished production and then, just as an indication of )lis versatility, lie took the film to New York and arranged with Associated Exhibitors for its distribution. The story hinges upon the physical resemblance of two men. which is well enough and is strikingly well done by Allan Forrest who plays them both. Rut the lure of the picture to us is iii its diversity ol settiugs and the wealth of nlotiiin picture entertainment contained ill each location. In this one picture, there is a bitter hand to hand struggle amid the snows of the Northwest; a sympathetic domestic problem, an extravagant cabaret affair, in short, a touch of action and thrills, tt dttsli ol the AYhite Lights, a sip of passionate love-making, a suggestion of tragic drama and a measure of dramatic suspense. Episode No 2 of tho serial shows Lightning Bryce is hound hand and foot bv an indian and tho rope is attached to a horse. The Indian drags the hotly to tin- woods at a high rate of speed, and later throws the rope over the limb of a tree and pulls Lightning up by his feet off the ground. His bead is dangling just out of the roach of a pack of hungry wolves. He is left in this perilous position and manages to keep out of the reach of the jumping wild wolves by swinging his head as the wolves jump. It is a thrilling situation, and leaves the audience ill great suspense as to what happens.
