ARCHBISHOP REDWOOD

RETURN TO DOMINION*. AVKLLIXGTOX, Nov. 21

Arehhisho|> Redwood stepped off the San Francisco mail boat to-day and proceeded to his home in Hill street, lie has been away for six months, and was accompanied by the Rev. Father Smyth. The great Eucharistic Congress at Amsterdam. Holland, was attended by Archbishop Redwood, and he was accorded a most cordial greeting by the Cardinal Legate of II is Holiness the Pope. His Holiness sent a message to the Congress stating that he was very pleased that Archbishop Redwood was attending the gathering as the representative of Australia and New Zealand. When the Pope’s l.egate. who presided, announced that Archbishop Redwood was tile oldest IJishnp in the world by consecration, and that he had come from the Antipodes to attend the Congress, the gathering of 21.000 people arose and gave him a great ovation which was repeated at the eonelusion of the Congress. A visit, to France was then paid by the Archbishop, and he had a most pleasant and interesting interview with the Cardinal Archbishop of Paris.

Archhi'.diop Redwood returned to New York in the Aqiiitania. and went through America in beautiful weather, visiting Niagara and the Grand Canyon of Colorado on his way to >,-m Francisco. The return trip across I lie Paeilie was most pleasant., there nut being one rough day.
